Terence Ronson is the Founder and Managing Director of Pertlink Limited, Asia's premier hospitality IT consultancy, established in Hong Kong in 2000. A former chef and hotel manager across the UK and Asia, he pivoted to technology in the mid-1980s — developing a conviction that technology, when deployed thoughtfully, could become a true business differentiator and driver of guest experience, not merely a back-office tool.

Pertlink operates on a founding principle that technology must serve hospitality — not the other way around. The firm provides bespoke consultancy, implementation, and support exclusively to the hospitality and senior living sectors, helping clients across hotels, luxury trains, and food and beverage operations maximize their technology investment and deliver measurably better guest experiences.

Under Ronson's leadership, Pertlink has pioneered a remarkable catalog of global firsts: the world's first hotel mobile app (HOTELINMYHAND), Hong Kong's first cyber boutique hotel, Vietnam's first five-star hotel with complimentary wireless internet, and Hong Kong's first high-tech senior living facilities. The firm also established the industry's influential DOs and DON’Ts best-practice standards and has collaborated with Marriott International, Disney, Accor, and the Hong Kong Jockey Club.

A prolific author, inventor, and speaker, Ronson served as Technology Editor for Hotels Asia Pacific and created the hospitality industry's first AI Playbooks and AI Lexicon. He contributed to the Hotel Yearbook 2024 — Technology Edition and has lectured at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. In 2024, he was inducted into the HFTP International Hospitality Technology Hall of Fame — the field's highest individual honor, held by fewer than 60 people since 1989 — recognized for revolutionizing hospitality technology across the Asia-Pacific. He was also inducted into the CHTA Technology Hall of Fame [China] - That same year, Pertlink was named Best Hospitality & Technology Consultancy in Hong Kong.
