Carlos Martin-Rios

Associate Professor of Management

Carlos Martin-Rios (PhD, Rutgers University) is associate professor of management at EHL Hospitality Business School, Switzerland. His research is situated at the intersection of sustainability and innovation management, with a focus on applying management theories to address grand challenges, particularly within the food value chain.

He addresses environmental, societal, and financial problems, including natural resource degradation and food waste. Carlos has authored over 60 publications in peer-reviewed journals and successfully led national and international projects, securing over CHF1.0m in research funding.

He also serves on the advisory board of three fast-growing sustainability startups and advises various companies on sustainability and innovation management programs.
