Wouter Geerts is Director of Market Research & Intelligence at Mews, the hospitality cloud platform, where he leads a dedicated function that combines industry insight with proprietary data to inform strategy and provide thought leadership for the global hotel sector.

Before joining Mews, he spent a decade shaping travel and hospitality analysis at Skift, where he served as Head of Research, and at Euromonitor International, contributing to some of the industry’s most cited research and data products.

His work focuses on helping hoteliers understand shifting traveler behavior, macro-economic trends, and the impact of new technology on operations and guest experience.

Wouter holds a PhD in Geography and an MSc in Sustainability & Management from Royal Holloway, University of London, alongside degrees in International Hospitality Management and Facility Management, grounding his data-driven perspective in deep sector expertise and sustainability thinking.
